Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon Store Pick
I had a 1 oz pour of this at the evergreen liquors in Nulu market street. Awesome store, highly recommend you check their selection out and try some bourbons at their bar!
Nose: The smell is SO sweet. It smells a bit like sweet apples and a hint of banana. I was reading reviews and saw someone say it smells exactly like a caramel apple and I can one hundred percent see that! 7.7
Palate: The taste is excellent with a little bit of burn. Tastes like a charred vanilla oak, a LITTLE bit of spice as well towards the end of the initial taste. 7.8
Finish: The finish lasts a bit longer than normal too. Its sweet oak on the tounge and a tad bit dry. A taste of oak lingers and is really tasty. 6.7
Overall Rankings and Thoughts: I really enjoyed this pour. I am a sucker for oaky bourbons and this one is definitely up there. Its a shame the DO is distillery only release right now otherwise I would have bought several bottles. If I ever see this one on the shelf, I am picking it up instantly! Overall, it ranks a 7.4!

Weller Single Barrel
I had a 1 oz pour of this at the evergreen liquors in Nulu market street. Awesome store, highly recommend you check their selection out and try some bourbons at their bar!
Nose: The smell is nice, light cherry and vanilla. Lots more vanilla as I continue to smell it, but the smell is very subtle. 7.2
Palate: The taste is a bit oily, lots of vanilla and a tad bit of a "creamy" taste to it. It tastes a little bit thick, referring to the oily comment. 7.2
Finish: The finish is really light and drops off hard at the end which is disappointing. Its a bit fruity, super light cherry taste at the end finishing with vanilla. 6.7
Overall Rankings and Thoughts: For the price point, I am very very disappointed. For MSRP, its a pickup but the secondary market is so crazy I wouldn't think of spending anything over 100 dollars for this bourbon. I thought the other Wellers were way better than this (not including the special reserve). The ranking is specific however to the three categories above which all ranked decently high. Overall, it ranked 6.96/10.

Bardstown Discovery 11 Series
Same Comment as Below - I had a 1 oz pour of this bourbon at the Bardstown bar in downtown Louisville KY. Excellent bar and awesome bartenders; I highly recommend you check out this bar if you are in Louisville! Bardstown Disco 11 goes around 140 dollars and is 118.1 proof.
Nose: The nose is phenomenal. It has a sweet smell of wheat but not SUPER sweet that I sometimes get with EH Taylor, Old Forester, etc. The smell is subtle but the sweetness is definitely there. I get a tiny hint of cherry, but not the fake cherry smell, a refreshing REAL cherry smell. 7
Palate: I instantly get butterscotch in the sweet profile, with a hint of brown sugar. The flavor is also pretty complex that I normally get with 10yr + age statement bourbons. 7.4
Finish: The finish is awesome. It lasts a bit on the tounge, more than the Bardstown red, white, and blue. I taste more of the cherry / sweet wheat taste on the finish. I also get a little bit of cinnamon as well. 7.5
Overall Rankings and Thoughts: Great bottle, definitely crushed it. The age statement, proof, and tasting categories definitely came through. My only complaint about this bottle is the price for sure but regarding the taste, its overall pretty solid. I ranked this a 7.3/10.

Bardstown Single Barrel Red, White, and Blue
I had a 1 oz pour of this bourbon at the Bardstown bar in downtown Louisville KY. Excellent bar and awesome bartenders; I highly recommend you check out this bar if you are in Louisville! Bardstown Single Barrel Red, White, and Blue has a MSRP of 80 dollars and is ONLY sold within the distillery in Louisville KY. It has a proof point of 120 proof.
Nose: Super light aroma. I picked up very light caramel notes that are subtle. It reminds me of unwrapping a caramel out of a package and then removing 50 percent of the smell. 6.4
Palate: The taste is super smooth for a 6 year bourbon. It tastes similar to a light butterscotch and caramel mix. There is a tiny hint of fruit as well but not overpowering whatsoever. 7.2
Finish: The finish is light and lasts a good bit. I wouldn't say a long lasting finish, but it isn't short either. I get that caramel on the finish mostly. It does NOT taste like a 120 proof. 7.1
Overall Rankings and Thoughts: This bottle was definitely a step down from the Disco 11, but I cannot complain! It tasted smooth and had an awesome butterscotch flavor. For the proof statement and age, its an all around tasty bottle. If I saw this on store shelfs, I would definitely consider grabbing a bottle. I ranked this a 6.9.
